The beginning

Rabada started his cricket for Gauteng in the South African domestic One-Day Competition in December 2013. He was then chosen for the national Under-19 team for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Rabada was South Africa’s best bowler claiming the 2nd most wickets (14) in the tournament. His performances catapulted him into the national reckoning. Rabada made his international cricket debut in the same year.

IPL Exploits

In February 2017, Delhi Daredevils bought Rabada for INR 50 million. In his maiden season, he claimed six wickets in as many games.  In January 2018, he was ruled out of the season due to a back injury. With 25 wickets in just 12 matches, Rabada displayed his skills in the 2019 IPL season. He was leading the Purple Cap race until he had to return to South Africa for World Cup preparation.

The Rise

Off The Field

Rabada is as calm off the field as he is fired up with the ball. The youngster is calm and appears mature beyond his age. He did stir controversy in South Africa by clearing his views about the racial discrimination in the country, however, it was incredibly brave of him to not hold back.
