After a week’s break, India and England will resume their rivalry with the third of the ongoing four-match Test series. The series is locked at 1-1 and both teams will have to make sure that they don’t lose this encounter in order to stay alive in the World Test Championship. Rather England, at any cost, will need to win this Test while India should make sure they win one of the next two and don’t lose the other.
After losing the opening game, the hosts made a stunning comeback on a turning pitch in Chennai. England looked in all sorts of trouble while Rohit Sharma and Ravi Ashwin shone for India with the bat. The visitors will be hoping to put up a better show in order to keep India at bay in this day-night Test and also will be looking forward to swing the ball under the lights.

India have named a largely unchanged squad for the last two Tests of the series. Umesh Yadav has joined the squad after passing the fitness test and is likely to be included in the playing XI as well. Virat Kohli and the team management is unlikely to make any other changes and Kuldeep Yadav is expected to make way for Umesh.
England will be making a few changes to their XI with Jonny Bairstow available now. Zak Crawley is also fit and Daniel Lawrence is the likeliest candidate to sit out. Moreover, Dom Bess will replace Moeen Ali who has been rested for the last two Tests while James Anderson and Jofra Archer are expected to be two pacers replacing Olly Stone and Stuart Broad.
