BCCI announces India’s home schedule for 2019-20; Five teams to tour

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s home schedule for the upcoming season. The Indian team will be extremely busy in the coming few months with as many as five different teams expected to land in the country. The scheduling consists of five Tests, nine ODIs and 12 T20Is.

Virat Kohli and his men are currently in England battling for the World Cup. They will be touring West Indies for an away tour after the global tournament. The home season for India shall commence with the Freedom Trophy. Starting September 15, South Africa shall play three Tests and three T20Is against the Asian giant. This series will be followed by Bangladesh arriving for two Tests and three T20Is.

West Indies will then tour India in December for a limited-overs series – three T20Is and three ODIs. Zimbabwe (3 T20Is), Australia (3 ODIs) and South Africa (3 ODIs) will engage in only limited-overs fixtures. India’s Test matches against South Africa and Bangladesh will be a part of the Test championship.

West Indies’ Tour of India 2019

6th December – 1st T20I, Mumbai

8th December – 2nd T20I, Thiruvananthapuram

11th December – 3rd T20I, Hyderabad

15th December – 1st ODI, Chennai

18th December – 2nd ODI, Vizag

22nd December – 3rd ODI, Cuttack
